UV bulb 200BPY/DF/GA/5 is designed for use on highly pigmented coatings, especially white. For white coatings thicker than 1.5 mils, a gallium-doped bulb followed by a regular mercury bulb provides optimum depth of cure together with good surface cure. Since the gallium iodide bulb provides depth of cure, it should be used before the mercury bulb. Lamp 200BPY/DF/GA/5 has Gallium fill with 7 1/2” (191 mm) arc. See output drawing below
If you are familiar with this bulb, you will appreciate our design over the OEM. We custom designed a ceramic that is cemented to the glass providing stronger support to lamp wires. Compare this to OEM version where lamp breakage is commonplace. We provide a better UV bulb at lower cost.
